How It Works
Embedded in most cooling systems, the thermostat remains closed when the engine is cold, trapping coolant within the engine. As the engine warms up, the thermostat gradually opens, allowing hot coolant to flow through the radiator for cooling. This cycle repeats perpetually, maintaining an ideal temperature.
Consequences of a Broken Thermostat
