How it works ⚙️

A fast solenoid lifts a needle inside the nozzle. Pressurized fuel forms a fine cone through multi‑holes, mixing with air for complete burn. Calibrated response time keeps pulse width accurate at idle and wide‑open throttle. When the pulse ends, the valve seals tight to prevent dribble. Flow is factory‑matched for Hyundai and Kia rails, ensuring balanced cylinders.

When it fails ⚠️

Expect hard starts, misfires, hesitation, fuel smell, black smoke, diluted oil, and codes like P020x/P030x. Idle may hunt, plugs can foul, and fuel trims go extreme. A stuck‑open unit can flood a cylinder and damage the catalytic converter; clogged tips cause lean misfire and loss of power.

Fitment & install tips 🧰

Use new upper/lower O‑rings, lightly oil seals, seat the rail evenly, and torque to spec. Clean ports, check fuel pressure, inspect harness/connectors, and reset trims after install. MPI types usually need no coding—confirm in service data.
