How it works 🌡️

A compact plate-style heat exchanger mounts by the oil filter housing. Hot oil flows through one side, coolant through the other. Heat transfers to the coolant, stabilizing oil around operating temp. Quality seals and O-rings prevent mixing and leaks, while robust alloy plates resist corrosion and pressure spikes.

Why you need it ✅

Stable oil temp = stable oil pressure and longer engine life. Expect better hot-idle pressure, cleaner oil, and less thermal stress under hills, traffic, or summer heat.

If it fails ⚠️

Symptoms include high oil temp, flickering oil light at hot idle, power loss, burnt-oil smell, or leaks. In severe cases, coolant–oil cross-contamination (milky oil or oily coolant) can lead to bearing damage and costly rebuilds. Replace early and always renew gaskets.

Flush coolant, replace O-rings, torque to spec, and prefill the core with clean oil to reduce dry start. Pressure-test after install.
