This front fog lamp unit is built to improve close-range road vision when rain, fog, dust, or snow reduces visibility. Unlike main headlights that can reflect back in heavy mist, a fog light throws a wide, low beam that cuts under the haze. Why this part is needed

How it works

Power from the switch/relay feeds the bulb (or internal light source) inside a sealed reflector and lens. The optics shape the beam into a flat, wide pattern aimed low, while the housing protects against water and road debris.

What happens if it’s broken

A cracked lens can let moisture in, causing fogging, corrosion, weak light output, or repeated bulb failure. A damaged mount may mis-aim the beam, reducing visibility and risking failed inspection. In bad weather, driving becomes more tiring and hazardous.
