Engine Timing Sensor for Smooth Starting ?

This sensor is a key input for the ECU to know exactly where the camshaft is in its rotation. It’s needed to control fuel injection timing and ignition sync, especially during cold starts and quick acceleration.

How It Works ⚙️

The unit reads a trigger pattern on the camshaft and sends a precise signal to the engine computer. The ECU uses this to identify cylinder position, fine-tune valve timing strategies (where equipped),and keep combustion stable at idle and under load.

When It Fails ?

A weak or dead sensor can cause hard starting, random stalling, rough idle, poor fuel economy, loss of power, and a check engine light. In some cases the engine may crank longer than normal or enter limp mode to protect itself.

Why Replace It?

Replacing a faulty timing sensor restores accurate engine synchronization, reduces misfires, and helps protect the catalytic converter from unburned fuel.
