Heated Oxygen Sensor (Lambda) for Nissan Engines
This sensor keeps your engine in closed-loop control by reading oxygen in exhaust and guiding the ECU to the perfect air–fuel mix. Result: smooth drive, lower emissions, better mileage ⛽. Built with fast-warm heating for quick feedback after start, ideal for city trips and cold mornings.
Why this part is needed
It adjusts fuel trim thousands of times per minute, protecting the catalytic converter and maintaining power. A healthy lambda sensor helps pass inspection and saves fuel daily.
How it works
Inside is a zirconia ceramic cell. Comparing exhaust to reference air, it outputs about 0.1–0.9 V. The internal heater brings the tip to working temperature quickly, so the ECU gets stable signals at idle and cruise. Works on both upstream (front) and downstream (rear) positions, depending on fitment.
What happens if it’s failing
Signs include Check Engine light, high fuel use, rough idle, sluggish acceleration, sulfur smell, and failed emissions. Running rich can overheat and poison the catalyst, turning a small fix into a costly repair ⚠️.
Installation notes
Let exhaust cool, disconnect battery, avoid touching the tip, use sensor-safe anti-seize on threads, torque to spec, and clear fault codes. Verify fuel trims after a short drive.
