Why this part is needed 🚗

Engines with VVT-i change cam timing to boost torque, save fuel, and lower emissions. A healthy cam gear keeps valve timing correct in all RPM and load. If the gear wears out, your engine loses response, economy, and reliability.

How it works 🔧

Oil pressure from the VVT solenoid moves vanes inside the gear, advancing or retarding the camshaft. The ECU commands small, fast angle changes. A tight seal and accurate rotor keep timing steady during starts, idling, and acceleration.

What happens if it fails ❗

Cold-start rattle, rough idle, flat spots, higher fuel use, check engine light (often P0011/P0012),and poor emissions. If it seizes or jumps, timing can go out of range, risking misfire and catalytic damage. Ignoring noise can also wear the timing chain and guides.
