Why you need it

How it works

A spring-loaded radial lip runs on the hub/spindle surface, forming a micro oil film that seals under rotation. The outer steel shell presses into the hub bore, while a secondary dust lip adds an extra barrier for harsh environments ️.

When it fails

Expect wet brakes, grease on the rim, humming or growling bearings, steering vibration, water-contaminated lubricant, and possible 4WD/ABS faults. Continued leaks can starve the front differential and damage ring-and-pinion gears ⚠️.
