Engine Cooling Pump Assembly for Subaru Boxer Engines ❄️

This OE-spec coolant pump keeps your Subaru’s temperature stable, mile after mile. It circulates antifreeze through the block, heads, radiator, and heater core, preventing hot spots and protecting gaskets, sensors, and the turbo. A healthy pump means steady needle on the temp gauge, strong cabin heat, and long engine life.

How it Works

A precision bearing supports a pulley that spins a balanced impeller inside a cast housing. Coolant is pulled from the radiator and pushed through the engine, then back to the radiator to shed heat. A high-temp mechanical seal keeps coolant inside while the shaft turns at thousands of rpm.

Why You Need It

Subaru boxer engines rely on constant flow. Correct pressure and volume stop detonation, warping, and oil breakdown. This direct-fit unit restores factory cooling efficiency and quiet operation.

What Happens If It Fails ⚠️

Signs include coolant drips under the timing or accessory area, sweet smell, white residue, wobble or growl from the pulley, weak heater, and rising temp. Continued driving risks overheating, blown head gaskets, warped heads, turbo damage, and costly repairs.

Tech Tips

Install with new gasket/seal, torque evenly, use fresh OEM-spec coolant, and bleed air thoroughly. Replace belts if worn.
