Why this part is needed
Stable coolant temperature means consistent power, long gasket life, and healthy automatic transmission and A/C. A precise fan clutch prevents overcooling at speed and ramps airflow at idle.
How it works
Inside is silicone fluid and a thermal bimetal coil. As radiator air heats the coil, fluid shear increases and the fan โlocks up,โ boosting airflow. When temps drop, it slips, reducing drag and noise โ๏ธ.
What happens if it fails
