Radiator Pressure Cap for Mitsubishi Cooling System ?

This cooling system cap is a small but critical part that keeps the engine running at the correct temperature. It seals the radiator neck and holds the designed pressure inside the system, which raises the coolant boiling point and helps heat move out of the engine faster.

Why This Part Is Needed βœ…

Modern engines rely on a pressurized cooling circuit. This cap maintains steady pressure and allows excess coolant to flow to the overflow tank when heat expands the fluid, then pulls it back as the engine cools.

How It Works βš™οΈ

Inside are spring-loaded valves: a pressure valve to release extra pressure safely, and a vacuum valve to prevent hose collapse when coolant contracts. The rubber seal keeps leaks out and pressure in.

If It’s Broken or Weak ?

A faulty cap can cause coolant loss, overheating in traffic, boiling in the radiator, heater blowing cold, swollen hoses, or messy overflow bottle venting. Low pressure also accelerates corrosion and can stress the head gasket over time.
