Transmission Oil Cooler Line Hose
This hose is a vital link between the automatic transmission and the oil cooler. It carries hot ATF out to be cooled, then returns it back at the right temperature. A stable fluid temperature keeps shifting smooth, protects seals, and prevents clutch burn-up under load, towing, or slow off-road driving.
Why this part is needed ✅
Automatic transmissions create heat fast. The cooler circuit removes that heat, and this hose must hold pressure, resist ATF, and handle vibration. A good hose also prevents air entering the system, which can cause foaming and weak hydraulic pressure.
How it works
Fluid flows through the cooler line when the transmission pump circulates ATF. The hose routes fluid safely around the engine bay, absorbing movement between the transmission, frame, and cooler without cracking.
What happens if it breaks ⚠️
A split or leaking hose can dump ATF quickly. Low fluid causes slipping, harsh shifts, delayed engagement, overheating, and can destroy the transmission in minutes. Signs include red oil spots, burning smell, and rising trans temp.
