Engine Oil Cooler OβRing Seal οΈ
This highβtemp sealing ring sits between the engine oil cooler and its housing/adapter. Its job is to keep pressurized oil inside the cooler and out of coolant passages, so your engine holds proper oil pressure and stable temperature. A small part with a big role, it protects bearings, cam journals, and turbo under heavy loads and long trips.
Why itβs needed οΈ
Heat, age, and vibration flatten old rubber, causing seepage. A fresh oil cooler Oβring restores clamping preload, stops leaks, and prevents oil/coolant crossβcontamination. Replace it any time the cooler or filter housing is removed.
How it works βοΈ
The elastomer ring compresses when the cooler is torqued, forming a radial face seal on both sides. It resists hot oil, coolant splash, thermal cycling, and pressure pulses, keeping the joint tight from cold start to highway speeds.
