Engine Coolant Thermostat Kit for Mitsubishi ️

Keep your engine at the right temperature every mile. This OEM-grade coolant thermostat assembly maintains precise heat control, helping Mitsubishi powertrains warm up fast and stay stableβ€”vital for performance, fuel economy, and long engine life.

Why this part is needed βœ…

The cooling system works best at a set range. A quality thermostat shortens warm-up, reduces emissions, gives strong cabin heat, protects the head gasket, and keeps oil viscosity correct. It’s a small part with a big job in overall reliability.

How it works

Inside is a wax pellet valve. When coolant is cold, the valve stays shut to bypass the radiator. As temperature rises, the wax expands, the valve opens gradually (typically around 88–92Β°C), and routes flow through the radiator. The kit includes a fresh seal/O-ring for a leak-free fit.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Stuck open: slow warm-up, poor fuel economy, weak heater, check engine light (P0128). Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, possible warped head or blown gasket. Leaking seal: low coolant, hot spots, and fluctuating gauge readings.

Installation tips

Match the old unit, clean mating surfaces, install the jiggle pin up, torque evenly, refill with the correct coolant, and bleed air. Inspect hoses, radiator cap, and fans during service.

Built to last ️

Corrosion-resistant materials, precise spring rate, and stable wax charge deliver consistent temperature control, smoother drivability, and long service life for Mitsubishi models.
