    Front Axle Shaft Oil Seal for Mitsubishi — leak stopper ️

    Why you need it

    This seal sits where the CV axle enters the transaxle. It keeps gear oil inside and blocks water, dust, and road grit. With tight sealing, the front differential, bearings, and CV joint stay lubricated and clean, preventing leaks and premature wear. It’s a small part that protects big components and saves money.

    How it works ⚙️

    A spring-loaded elastomer lip hugs the axle journal and rides on a micro oil film to control flow. A secondary dust lip shields against splash. The metal shell press-fits square into the case, holding factory alignment. Heat- and chemical-resistant rubber handles temperature swings and modern gear oil additives.

    What happens if broken

    Watch for oil spots under the car, a wet inner hub, burnt oil smell, or gearbox hum. Dirt can enter, CV grease can wash out, and fluid level drops. Driving like this risks bearing wear, gear pitting, ABS ring contamination, and costly differential failure.

    Install tips

    Inspect and polish the axle sealing surface. Clean the bore, lightly oil the lip, and drive the seal in evenly—never hit the lip. Check the breather, replace a loose snap ring, seat the shaft fully, then road-test and recheck for seepage.
