Valve Cover Sealing Gasket ️
This sealing gasket sits between the valve/rocker cover and the cylinder head. Its job is simple but critical: keep engine oil inside the top of the engine while the valvetrain splashes and pressure changes during driving. A healthy seal prevents leaks, keeps the engine bay clean, and helps the ignition area stay dry for stable running.

The cover joint is exposed to heat cycles, vibration, and oil vapors. Over time the rubber or composite material hardens and shrinks. Replacing the gasket restores the correct clamp load seal and stops oil from escaping.
How it works ⚙️
When the cover bolts are tightened, the gasket compresses into a precise groove and fills tiny surface imperfections. This creates an oil-tight barrier along the entire perimeter, including corners where leaks often start.

You may notice oil smell, wet edges around the cover, smoke from oil dripping onto the exhaust, and misfires if oil reaches plug wells. Low oil level can follow, leading to faster engine wear.
