Exhaust Valve for Mitsubishi Engines ?
This engine exhaust valve is a critical part of the cylinder head that controls how burnt gases leave the combustion chamber. It is needed to keep engine breathing correct, protect power output, and maintain stable fuel economy.
How It Works βοΈ
Driven by the camshaft through the valvetrain, the valve opens at the exact moment after combustion and closes to seal the chamber again. Its face and seat must match perfectly to hold compression and transfer heat from the valve into the head, preventing overheating and valve burn.
If the Valve Is Worn or Broken ?
A damaged exhaust valve can cause misfires, rough idle, loss of compression, hard starting, ticking noises, and poor acceleration. In severe cases it may burn through, drop pieces into the cylinder, damage the piston and head, and lead to expensive engine rebuild.
Why Replace in Time β
Replacing a weak valve restores sealing, smooth running, and correct exhaust flow, helping the catalytic system work properly and keeping the engine reliable under load.
