PCV Valve for Mitsubishi Engines ?
This crankcase ventilation valve is a small but important engine part. It helps remove blow-by gases from the crankcase and sends them back into the intake system for clean burning. A good PCV valve keeps engine pressure stable, reduces oil contamination, and supports smooth idle and fuel economy.
Why This Part Is Needed ✅
During normal combustion, a small amount of gas passes the piston rings. Without proper ventilation, pressure builds inside the engine, pushing oil through seals and gaskets. The PCV valve controls this flow and helps protect the engine from sludge, oil leaks, and rough running.
How It Works ⚙️
The valve opens and closes using intake vacuum. At idle it meters a small amount of vapor, and under load it adjusts flow to match engine demand. This simple action keeps the crankcase breathing correctly while preventing backflow into the engine.
Signs of a Broken PCV Valve ⚠️
If the valve is stuck, clogged, or leaking, you may notice rough idle, increased oil use, smoke, poor acceleration, oil leaks, or a check engine light. Replacing it on time is a low-cost way to avoid bigger engine repairs.
