OEM Engine Coolant Thermostat for Mitsubishi Vehicles
Why you need it βοΈ
This coolant thermostat keeps your Mitsubishi engine at the ideal operating temperature. It speeds up warm-up, holds a steady heat range under load, improves fuel economy, protects engine oil, and keeps emissions in check. A healthy thermostat is key to stable power and long engine life.
How it works
Inside is a wax-pellet valve. When the engine is cold, the valve stays closed to bypass the radiator for fast warm-up. As coolant reaches its calibrated point, the valve opens and meters flow to the radiator, keeping temperature stable in traffic, hills, or towing. Precision spring and seat ensure accurate control and leak-free sealing.
If the thermostat fails β οΈ
Stuck open: slow warm-up, weak cabin heat, higher fuel use, carbon build-up. Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, risk of head gasket damage. Intermittent action: temp swings, fans always on, possible fault codes. Replace at the first signs to avoid costly repairs.
Tech notes
Direct-fit OEM quality. Always install with a new gasket/seal, orient the jiggle valve correctly, refill with fresh coolant, and bleed air.
