Rear Stabilizer Bar Bushing ️
This suspension bushing secures the rear anti-roll (sway) bar to the axle or subframe. It keeps the bar centered, cuts vibration, and helps the SUV stay flat in corners. Built from durable elastomer, it resists oil, salt, and heat for long, quiet service.
Why you need it
Without a healthy bushing, the stabilizer bar cannot control body roll. Replacing tired bushings restores sharp steering, better traction, and a calm ride on rough roads.
How it works ⚙️
The bar slides through the bushing’s inner bore. When you turn, the bar twists; the bushing lets it move in a controlled way while isolating noise. The clamp holds it tight so the bar doesn’t walk side to side.
What happens if it’s worn or broken ⚠️
Expect clunks over bumps, rubber squeak, and extra body sway. Steering can feel vague, braking stability drops, and tires may wear unevenly. Severe wear lets the bar rub metal-to-metal, damaging brackets and end links.
Install tips ✅
Match the bushing to the bar diameter, replace in pairs, use silicone grease on the bore, and torque the clamps evenly with wheels on the ground. Road-test and recheck fasteners.
