This front hub washer is a small but important part in the wheel hub assembly. It helps keep the hub nut clamped correctly and supports stable wheel bearing preload. On 4x4 and van front axles, the washer also helps prevent unwanted nut movement during braking, cornering, and rough-road driving.

Why This Part Is Needed

The washer spreads clamping force evenly across the hub nut area. This protects the wheel bearing, hub, and axle thread from uneven pressure. A correct washer helps the front wheel rotate smoothly, keeps steering feel firm, and supports safe suspension operation.

How It Works ⚙️

Installed between the hub nut and hub bearing area, the washer acts as a load surface and locking support. When the hub nut is tightened to specification, the washer holds pressure in the right position, helping maintain correct bearing clearance and wheel alignment stability.

Signs of a Bad or Missing Hub Washer

If this washer is worn, bent, cracked, or missing, the hub nut may loosen. This can cause wheel play, bearing noise, vibration, uneven tire wear, poor steering control, and possible hub bearing damage. In severe cases, front wheel safety can be at risk.
