Rear Drum Wheel Cylinder Seal Kit for Nissan

Restore safe, even stopping with a rear wheel cylinder cup kit designed for Nissan light trucks and vans. This repair set renews the hydraulic sealing parts inside the drum brake cylinder, stopping leaks, rebuilding pressure, and bringing back firm pedal feel—without replacing the whole cylinder. Perfect for preventive maintenance or when you spot moisture around the backing plate.

Why this part is needed ️

Over time, brake fluid, heat, and dust harden the seals. The result is seepage, air entry, and weak rear braking. A fresh cup kit seals the bore, extends cylinder life, protects shoes from contamination, and keeps braking balanced.

How it works ️

The primary and secondary rubber cups seat against the cylinder bore. When you press the pedal, hydraulic pressure expands the cups and drives the pistons outward, pushing the shoes into the drum. Dust boots keep debris out, while quality elastomers resist DOT 3/4 fluid and high temperatures.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Spongy pedal, longer stops, pulling to one side, low fluid level, wet drums, and uneven shoe wear. Left unchecked, the cylinder can seize or leak onto linings, reducing friction and overheating the drum. Replace in axle pairs, clean the bore, lube cups with fresh brake fluid, and bleed the system.
