Engine Mounting Rubber Isolator (Position No.3)

This rubber isolator sits in the engine mounting system and acts like a cushion between the engine and the chassis. It’s needed to reduce vibration, absorb torque movement, and keep the powertrain aligned so the car feels smooth and quiet inside the cabin

How It Works

The rubber core flexes under load while still supporting engine weight. During acceleration, braking, and gear changes, it controls engine rocking and prevents metal-to-metal contact. This helps protect nearby parts like exhaust joints, hoses, wiring, and brackets.

What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken

A damaged isolator can cause strong vibration at idle, clunks when shifting, and excessive engine movement. Over time it may lead to cracked exhaust flex, stretched coolant hoses, misalignment stress on driveshafts, and faster wear of other mounts. If ignored, the car can feel harsh and unsafe under load ⚠️
