    High‑precision axle/output oil seal for Honda driveline

    This OE‑grade lip seal keeps transmission, transfer case, or differential fluid inside where the driveshaft/axle exits the housing. The 38×62×9 mm sizing ensures a tight press fit in the case and correct contact on the shaft for clean, leak‑free operation.

    Why you need it ️

    It prevents ATF/MTF/gear oil leaks, protects bearings and clutch packs from dirt and water, and maintains lubrication and pressure for smooth FWD/AWD performance. Replacing a seeping axle seal restores reliability and keeps service costs down.

    How it works ⚙️

    A rigid metal shell locks into the bore. The elastomer lip (NBR/FKM) hugs the rotating shaft with a garter spring, holding a micro‑film of oil. A secondary dust lip blocks debris. Proper preload keeps oil in under heat, speed, and vibration. Built to OE tolerances, this transmission output/axle seal delivers long life.

    If it’s worn or broken ⚠️

    Expect a wet case, drips under the car, burnt‑oil smell, shudder on take‑off, and gear/diff whine. Continued leaks can drop fluid level, overheat gears, score bearings, contaminate CV grease, and damage clutch packs—leading to costly repairs.

    Install tips

    Clean bore and shaft; check for grooves. Lightly oil the lip. Drive the seal square and flush with a proper driver—never on the lip. Set to OE depth, verify venting, refill to spec, and recheck for leaks after a short road test. Suits Honda axle seal, transmission output shaft seal, and rear differential side seal applications.
