OEM Camshaft Position Sensor RH/LH for Toyota Engines

This precision cam sensor keeps your Toyota’s timing perfectly synced. It feeds the engine computer the exact cam angle, so fuel injection, ignition timing, and VVT-i advance happen at the right moment. Result: fast starts, smooth idle, strong power, clean emissions, and great fuel economy.

Why you need it ✅

Modern engines rely on accurate cam data to coordinate with the crank sensor. On V6/V8 setups, right and left bank sensors ensure correct phasing on both cylinder banks. Without this signal, the ECU can’t control valve timing or injection sequence correctly.

How it works ⚙️

A Hall-effect pickup reads a toothed cam trigger wheel and outputs a clean digital pulse. The ECU compares cam and crank signals to identify cylinder position, then adjusts spark, injection, and VVT-i. Proper gap and sensor polarity are critical for a stable waveform.

What happens if it’s faulty

Long crank or no start, rough idle, misfires, low power, poor MPG, and check engine lights (codes like P0340/P0345/P0016). VVT can stick, emissions rise, and the car may enter limp mode. Prolonged driving can damage the catalytic converter.

Fitment & quality

Genuine-grade build, heat/oil resistant, exact connector, correct depth and bracket geometry. Plug-and-play for Toyota applications using RH/LH cam sensors.

Install tips

Disconnect battery, remove single hold-down bolt, replace O-ring, torque to spec, route harness away from exhaust, clear codes, and perform idle relearn. On dual-bank engines, replace sensors in pairs for balanced response.
