Front Right Ride Height Control Sensor (Suspension Level Sensor) ?
This suspension height sensor is needed to keep the vehicle sitting at the correct level, especially on cars with air suspension or automatic leveling. It constantly “reads” the front right suspension position and helps the control unit adjust ride height for comfort, stability, and safe headlight aim.
How it works ⚙️
The sensor is linked to the suspension arm with a small rod. As the wheel moves up and down, the sensor converts that movement into an electrical signal. The suspension controller uses this signal to add or release air pressure (or command height adjustments) to keep the body level under load, braking, and cornering.
What happens if it’s faulty ❗
If the sensor wears out, corrodes, or the linkage bends, the system can’t trust the height reading. You may notice uneven ride height, a harsh or floaty feel, warning lights, incorrect leveling, or the suspension compressor running too often. Long-term driving with a bad sensor can stress air struts, valves, and the compressor, raising repair costs.
