Rear Window Wiper Blade Assembly — Clear Vision, Safe Reversing ️
Why you need it
The rear wiper keeps the back glass clean so you can see traffic, pedestrians, and parking lines. In rain, snow, dust, or after a muddy road, a fresh blade sweeps water and grit away, protects the glass from abrasion, and helps the defogger do its job. It’s a small part with a big safety impact, especially when reversing or using the rear camera.
How it works
This assembly uses a spring steel spine to hold even pressure across the rear window. A flexible rubber edge wipes with a smooth, low-noise sweep, while the pivot joint lets the arm track the curve of the glass. The clip connector locks to the arm securely, and an aerodynamic profile reduces lift at speed. Each cycle returns to the park position to stay out of your line of sight.
What happens if it’s worn or broken
Expect streaks, chatter, and poor clearing. Grit can scratch the glass. In heavy rain you may lose rear visibility, making lane changes and parking risky. A stiff or seized hinge can overload the motor and blow a fuse. If the insert splits, it may detach and leave the window unprotected. Replace at the first signs of smearing or noise.
