This valve assembly is a key part of the fuel tank ventilation and return control system. It helps manage fuel vapor and pressure flow between the tank and related lines, keeping the system stable during driving, refueling, and temperature changes. Modern fuel tanks must control pressure and vapors. This solenoid-controlled return valve opens and closes when commanded, guiding flow the right way at the right time. That prevents unwanted backflow, helps maintain correct tank pressure, and supports proper EVAP system operation.
How it works ⚙️
Inside is an electromagnetic solenoid. When the ECU sends power, the solenoid moves an internal plunger, switching the valve path. This action regulates return/vent routing so fuel vapor and pressure do not build up or escape incorrectly.
