Fuel Tank Suction Tube Assembly ⛽
This fuel suction tube assembly is a key in-tank pickup part that allows the fuel pump to draw petrol/diesel from the lowest usable area of the tank. It is needed to keep fuel delivery steady during acceleration, braking, and off-road angles, where fuel can move away from the pickup.
How It Works ⚙️
The tube sits inside the tank and guides fuel to the pump inlet. Its shape and inlet position help reduce air intake and keep flow smooth. On many setups it works together with the strainer/sock to block dirt before it reaches the pump and injectors, helping protect the whole fuel system.
When This Part Fails
A cracked, loose, or blocked suction tube can cause hard starting, hesitation, loss of power, and stalling—especially at low fuel level. If it sucks air, the pump may whine, overheat, and wear out early. Debris passing through can clog filters and damage injectors, leading to expensive repairs.
