Left-side Rear Quarter Belt Trim – Quiet, Dry, and Factory-Clean Finish ️
This exterior beltline trim sits at the left rear quarter window. It seals the glass to the body, directs rain away, and finishes the panel gap so the side profile looks sharp. You need it to protect paint edges from chafing, cut wind noise, and keep the cargo area dry. It also steadies the glass and matches the door mouldings for a seamless OE look.
How It Works
A shaped rubber/plastic profile with a slim metal spine clips to the quarter panel. Its flexible lip presses against the glass, creating a controlled water path to the drain channel. Together with the inner weatherstrip, it reduces vibration, prevents dust intrusion, and maintains correct glass alignment.
If It’s Damaged or Missing
Expect water drips in the rear side area, foggy windows, wind whistle from 50+ km/h, squeaks over bumps, and faster rust at the belt edge. Paint can wear where the glass meets the body, the glass may chatter, and the trim can lift at speed—sometimes detaching completely.
Build and Materials
UV-stable EPDM/TPO compound, corrosion-resistant clips, and automotive-grade adhesive where applicable. Color-matched satin black for factory appearance and long service life.
Installation Tips
Test-fit dry, clean with isopropyl alcohol, replace weak clips, and warm the trim to 20–30°C for best conformity. Seat from the center outward with even pressure—no extra sealant needed. Maintain with a light silicone protectant to keep the lip supple.
