Left Roof Drip Side Trim (LH) — Rain Gutter Moulding
Why you need it ✅
This side roof channel trim guides rain away from the door glass and A/B‑pillar, seals the roof edge, and covers the factory seam. It keeps the cabin quiet, protects paint from water tracks, and completes the clean OEM look. On work trucks like the Hilux, it also helps keep dust and wash water out of the upper door frame.
How it works
The moulding snaps into the roof channel using factory clips and pressure-sensitive tape. Its profiled lip forms a small gutter that directs water to the ends of the roof line, not onto the window. The LH piece is shaped for the left side, ensuring tight fit, proper airflow, and stable retention at speed.
If it’s cracked or missing ⚠️
You can get wind whistle, water streaks on side glass, early rust in the roof channel, loose paint around the seam, and even the tape lifting at highway speeds. Over time, clips can fatigue and the trim may detach. Replacing it restores sealing, reduces noise, and protects the bodywork.
Install notes
Clean the channel, replace brittle clips, test-fit, then seat from the A‑pillar rearward. Warm the tape, press firmly for 60–90 sec, and avoid high-pressure wash for 24 hours.
