Why you need this part ️

This inner window weatherstrip sits at the top of the door trim on the passenger side. Its job is to keep water, dust, and road grit out of the door, reduce wind noise, and wipe the glass clean as it moves. It also stabilizes the pane so the window rises straight, protecting the regulator, guides, and interior trim.

How it works ⚙️

The seal uses a shaped rubber lip with a reinforced metal spine that clips onto the inner door flange. A felted or low-friction edge lightly presses against the glass. When you raise or lower the window, the lip wipes away moisture and dirt, and its tension creates a barrier against capillary water and air leaks. Proper fit keeps the glass from rattling and prevents scratches.

What happens if it’s damaged ️

Expect wind whistle, wet door cards, foggy windows, and dirt streaks on the glass. The pane may chatter, move slow, or get scratched. Water inside the door can corrode hardware and cause mildew smells. Cabin noise rises and the regulator works harder, shortening its life.

Install tips

Remove the old strip, clean the channel, and press the new seal in evenly from the mirror corner to the B‑pillar. Do not kink the metal spine. Use a small amount of silicone-safe lube on the glass edge, cycle the window to verify smooth travel.
