Information
Front Door Inner Window Weatherstrip (RH)
Why you need it
This cabin-side seal sits along the top of the door trim and presses against the glass. It blocks wind, rain, and dust from entering the door and cabin, keeps the window path clean, and cuts road noise. Old rubber hardens and shrinks, leading to drafts, rattles, streaks on the glass, and damp carpets. Replacing it restores a factory-tight door and smooth window travel.
How it works
The molded wiping lip sweeps the pane every time you raise or lower the window. A reinforced spine clips into the garnish molding, keeping constant, even pressure on the glass. This ensures a clean wipe, stable guidance, and a reliable barrier against water and debris while the regulator operates quietly.
What happens if itβs broken
Expect whistling at speed, leaks in rain, foggy windows, and dirty tracks that slow or scratch the glass. Moisture inside the door can corrode the regulator and wiring, stain the trim, and eventually rust the lower door skin. Prolonged neglect increases repair costs.
Tech notes
Fit on a clean channel; start at the mirror end and seat evenly to the latch. Cycle the window to confirm smooth wipe and no pinch. Avoid silicone dressings; use rubber-safe care products for longer life.
