Front Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip RH for Hilux
This beltline window sweep seals the gap between the passenger-side front door and the glass. It keeps rain, dust, and road spray out, reduces wind noise, and shields the window regulator and speakers from moisture. A fresh seal also protects the glass edge from scratches while giving the door a crisp, factory look.
Why this part is needed ✅
Over time, sun, heat, and car washes dry and harden the rubber. The lip loses tension, letting water drip inside the door and causing whistles at speed. Replacing it restores a tight seal and preserves the interior.
How it works ⚙️
It’s a steel-reinforced EPDM strip with a flocked wiping edge. As the window moves, the flocked lip sweeps the glass clean and directs runoff away from the door. It press-fits along the outer beltline with clips for OE fit.
What happens if it’s damaged ❌
Expect water leaks, glass scratches, rattles, mildew smell, foggy windows, and rust in the regulator and latch. Wind noise increases and the window may stick in cold weather.
Install notes
Right-hand, front door. Remove old sweep, clean channel, align ends, and press clips firmly. Light silicone spray helps seating. Typical time: 15–25 minutes.
