This OEM-grade rear LH door seal restores a quiet, watertight cabin on demanding roads. Why it’s needed ️
The weatherstrip blocks rain, dust, and road spray while stabilizing cabin pressure and temperature. It protects trim, wiring, and floor sound-deadening from moisture. A healthy seal also reduces wind noise and helps the latch and hinges work in the correct geometry.
How it works
The molded bulb runs the door perimeter and compresses evenly against the body flange when closed. An internal spine supports shape; formed corners prevent gaps. The outer lip channels water toward factory drains. Correct compression eliminates whistling at speed and keeps the door easy to close.
If the seal is damaged ⚠️
Expect leaks, musty odors, foggy glass, and extra road noise. Doors may require slamming, and winter freeze can stick the door shut. Long term, moisture leads to sill corrosion and electrical issues.
Install tips
