This OE-grade cushion pad sits between the rear wheel arch extension (fender flare) and the body shell. It seals the gap, damps vibration, and protects paint where the trim meets the quarter panel. Why you need it

Over time, road grit and movement can chafe paint under the flare. This pad works as a protective gasket, stopping metal-to-plastic contact, blocking dust and water, and keeping the extension aligned. It also reduces squeaks and body buzz at highway speed or on rough tracks.

How it works

The adhesive backing bonds to the arch edge while the foam compresses under clip load. That compression creates an even seal, spreads stress, and stabilizes the trim. The material resists oils, mud, and wash chemicals for long service life.

If the pad is worn or missing

Expect rattles, squeaks, uneven panel gaps, and trim loosening. Paint can rub through, inviting corrosion. Water and dust ingress may stain the inner lip, and the flare may not sit flush after impacts or heat cycles.

Install notes

Clean and dry surfaces, dry-fit the flare, peel-and-stick the pad, then refit clips/bolts to spec. Do not stretch the foam; allow full adhesive cure before off-road use.
