Rear leaf spring eye bushing for Nissan rear suspension
This small but tough component supports the rear leaf spring and isolates the body from road shock. It restores quiet ride, straight tracking, and stable towing by replacing the fatigued rubber at the spring eye on your SUV.
Why this part is needed βοΈ
Over time, the original insert compresses, cracks, and separates from its shell due to load, heat, and road salt. A fresh bushing keeps the spring centered on the pivot bolt, stopping side shift, vibration, and uneven tire wear while improving steering feel.
How it works
A steel inner sleeve is bonded to a high-grade elastomer inside an outer shell. As the axle moves, the elastomer twists in shear, allowing controlled rotation and filtering noise. Correct durometer holds alignment under braking, cargo, and off-road use.
What happens if itβs worn or broken β
Expect clunks on bumps, rear-end wander, squirm under braking, and feathered tires. In severe cases the spring eye hammers the bolt, risking bracket damage and driveshaft misalignment. Replace in pairs to keep geometry even.
Tech tips
Press-fit only; do not torch out. Align any locating marks, and torque pivot bolts at normal ride height. After installation, recheck U-bolt torque and rear alignment.
