Front Tension Rod Bushing for Nissan Light Vans ?

Keep your front suspension tight and quiet with this OE-style tension rod bushing. Designed for Nissan compact vans, it stabilizes the lower arm during braking and acceleration, holding caster angle steady and protecting tires and steering parts. The result is straighter tracking, safer stops, and less vibration ?.

Why this part is needed ?️

The bushing cushions the joint where the tension rod mounts to the chassis. It absorbs road shocks, reduces noise, and prevents harsh metal-to-metal contact. With proper stiffness, it keeps geometry correct and steering precise.

How it works

A bonded rubber-and-metal silentblock is pressed into the mount. The elastomer flexes in small arcs, allowing controlled fore–aft movement of the lower control arm while resisting side loads. Under braking, it resists rod kickback, keeping wheels aligned and the van stable.

What happens if it’s worn or broken ⚠️

Expect clunks on bumps, brake shimmy, wandering, uneven tire wear, and a pull under braking. Excess play can stress ball joints and tie rods, and may cause ABS chatter on rough roads. In severe cases, caster shifts, steering becomes vague, and the rod bracket can suffer damage.

Tech notes ?

Replace in axle pairs, torque with vehicle at ride height, and match orientation marks. Inspect rod and bracket bores; any ovaling means additional repair.
