Front Coil Spring Rubber Seat / Isolator

This rubber seat is the quiet hero of the front suspension. It sits between the coil spring and its perch on the strut, cushioning the metal-to-metal contact. By isolating vibrations, it keeps the cabin calm, maintains correct spring height, and protects the strut mount. Ideal for Nissan front suspension layouts using MacPherson struts, it restores factory ride comfort and steering precision.

How it works ⚙️

Made from high-density, ozone-resistant rubber, the seat locks the spring end in a molded groove. It damps high-frequency vibration, seals out moisture and grit, and stabilizes the strut during compression and rebound.

When it’s worn or broken ⚠️

Expect clunks over bumps, squeaks on turns, knocking on steering input, uneven ride height, and feathered tire edges. The spring can rotate harshly, cutting the paint and inviting corrosion, which may damage the strut perch over time.

Tech tips

Replace in pairs, use a quality spring compressor, mark spring orientation, and inspect the strut mount and bearing while in there.
