Information

Front Differential Support Bracket – No.2 Position

This mount keeps the front differential fixed in the correct angle and height, so your 4WD drivetrain stays smooth and quiet. Built from high-strength steel with a bonded rubber isolator, it maintains factory geometry and cuts vibration for daily driving and off‑road use.

Why you need it

It stabilizes the diff housing, holds the pinion angle, and controls torque twist. With a healthy support, CV axles track straight, gears stay properly meshed, and NVH is reduced. It protects nearby components and keeps engagement in 4H/4L crisp.

How it works ⚙️

The bracket bolts to the subframe/crossmember and cradles the differential via a rubber core. The rubber absorbs engine and driveline shocks while the steel shell spreads load under acceleration, braking, and rough terrain. Corrosion‑resistant coating ensures long service life.

When it’s worn or broken ❗

Expect clunks on take‑off, thumps during shifts, steering shimmy in 4WD, and vibration at 40–80 km/h. Misalignment can tear CV boots, accelerate axle and bearing wear, and lead to pinion seal leaks. In severe cases, the diff sags, causing metal‑to‑metal contact and gear damage.

Install tips ✅

Torque fasteners with the vehicle at ride height, replace stretch bolts if fitted, and inspect other diff mounts for play. After installation, check CV angles and perform a short road test.
