Cab Body Mount Cushion β Rear Position
This OEM-grade cab mount cushion sits between the ladder frame and the cabin of your rugged Toyota SUV. It cushions vibration, keeps the body aligned, and preserves ride comfort on-road and off-road οΈ. Built for heavy duty use, it maintains correct cab height and reduces stress on panels, glass, and interior trim.
Why you need it οΈ
Hard trails, towing, and age compress the original rubber. A fresh cushion restores NVH control, protects paint seams, and helps doors and fenders stay true. It also supports proper steering column and shifter geometry, preventing rattles and squeaks.
How it works
A vulcanized rubber isolator with steel sleeves sandwiches the frame bracket and cab mount. The through-bolt clamps the stack; the rubber works in shear and compression to absorb road shock and engine/frame vibration. Correct durometer rubber gives progressive support without harshness .
If the cushion is worn or broken
- Cab shakes, thumps over bumps, and increased vibration in seats and dash
- Door misalignment, uneven gaps, and windshield creaks
- Clunk on takeoff/braking; cab may sit low on one corner
- Premature cracking of body seams and mounts if ignored
Tech tips
- Replace in axle pairs to keep ride height level
- Tighten bolts at normal ride height to avoid pre-load
- Inspect bolts, sleeves, and washers; renew corroded hardware
