Why this kit is needed
Heat, age, and grit harden factory seals. Once they shrink, fluid escapes, assist fades, and the pump strains. Re-sealing the original rack is a smart, cost‑effective fix versus full rack replacement.
How it works
Precision pressure seals and O‑rings surround the pinion shaft and the rack piston. They hold high‑pressure fluid in the left/right chambers so assist builds correctly, while dust wipers keep contamination out. Result: quiet, centered steering and consistent assist .
When seals fail
Signs include: fluid in bellows, foamy reservoir, whining on turns, wandering, or uneven assist. Ignoring it can burn the pump, corrode the rack, cause internal bypass, and create unsafe play.
