Information
Rear Suspension Hydraulic Accumulator (Right/Left)
This gas-charged unit supports the rear self-leveling system, storing pressure to smooth bumps and keep the body level under load. It’s essential for stable handling, comfort on rough roads, and protecting the hydraulic pump from overwork. Ideal for towing, off‑road driving, and everyday ride quality.
How it works ️
Inside the steel canister, nitrogen gas is separated from hydraulic fluid by a flexible diaphragm. When the wheel hits a bump, fluid flows in and compresses the gas, absorbing energy like a spring. During height adjustments, it acts as a pressure reservoir, allowing fast, quiet leveling. Ports and threads match factory lines for plug‑and‑play installation.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
Loss of nitrogen or a torn diaphragm makes the ride harsh and choppy. The rear may squat under load, the pump can run constantly, and you may hear clunks over bumps. Expect uneven tire wear, longer stopping on corrugations, and possible suspension warning lights. Fluid foaming or leaks at fittings can also appear.
Tech tips ✅
Replace in pairs, torque lines to spec, bleed the system, and recalibrate height sensors. Avoid lifting the axle without depressurizing the circuit.
