Why this part is needed
Without a solid bracket, the sway bar cannot control body roll. The bar must be clamped firmly around its bushing so suspension loads transfer cleanly to the chassis. That means safer handling, predictable steering, and quieter ride.
How it works
The bracket sandwiches the bushing around the bar and bolts to the axle or arm. When the body leans, the bar twists; the bracket turns that twist into counterforce, reducing roll and keeping rear tires planted.

Expect clunking over bumps, loose rear feel, extra body roll, unstable towing, and faster bushing wear. The bar may shift sideways, cutting the bushing and stressing links. In severe cases, stability control may intervene more often.
