Front Anti-Roll Bar Bushing (No.1)
This small rubber mount is essential for keeping your SUV/truck stable in corners and calm on rough roads. It supports the front stabilizer bar and isolates vibration, so the bar can twist smoothly while the body stays flatter. β
Why this bushing is needed
The stabilizer bar works like a spring link between left and right suspension. The bushing holds the bar in the correct position, reduces metal-to-metal contact, and controls noise and harshness. Without a healthy bushing, the bar can shift and lose efficiency.
How it works
When one wheel moves up or down, the bar rotates inside the bushing. The bushingβs inner surface allows controlled movement, while the outer shell keeps the bar centered and firmly clamped to the chassis. This improves steering response and reduces body roll.
What happens if itβs worn or broken
- Clunking/knocking over bumps
- Loose or wandering steering feel
- More body roll and slower cornering response
- Uneven stress on links and brackets
- Squeaks and vibration through the floor
