Rear Suspension Strut Rod Assembly

This rear strut rod assembly is a key link in the suspension system. It is needed to keep the rear wheel geometry stable and to control how the rear hub moves when you accelerate, brake, or hit bumps. When this part is correct, the vehicle feels planted, tracks straight, and the tires wear evenly βœ…

How It Works

The rod connects the rear suspension arm to the chassis through strong bushings. It guides suspension travel in a controlled arc and resists unwanted toe and thrust-angle changes. The rubber/compound bushings absorb vibration and road shock, while the metal rod holds alignment under load

Signs of Wear & What Happens If It Breaks

If the rod or bushings are worn, you may notice rear-end wobble, clunking over bumps, steering correction at highway speed, or uneven rear tire wear. A badly damaged rod can let the rear alignment shift suddenly, causing unstable handling, poor braking feel, and rapid tire destruction ⚠️
