Front Shock Absorber Bushing (LH/RH) for Toyota SUVs

Why this part is needed

This small bushing sits at the shock eye and keeps the front damper centered and quiet. It cushions road impacts, controls micro-movements, and holds proper suspension geometry. If yours is cracked, oil-soaked, or ovalized, the shock can’t work correctly, causing noise and instability. Replacing it restores tight steering feel and smooth ride.

How it works

A steel inner sleeve is clamped by the mounting bolt, while a high-grade elastomer around it absorbs vibration. As the suspension moves, the bushing flexes, allowing controlled rotation without metal-to-metal contact. This isolates harshness, keeps the shock aligned, and protects mounts and bolts from impact loads.

What happens when it’s worn or broken ⚠️

Expect clunks over bumps, steering wander, brake dive, and cupped tire wear. Extra play can hammer the shock eye, loosen hardware, and stress ball joints and tie-rod ends. On rough roads, stopping distances can grow because the tire loses stable contact. Ignoring it risks bent bolts and premature damper failure.

Pro tips βœ…

Fits left or right side. Torque fasteners at normal ride height. Replace in pairs for balanced handling. Wheel alignment is recommended after any front suspension work.
