How It Works ⚙️

Inside the unit is a ball-and-socket joint that pivots smoothly while holding tight under load. As you turn the wheel, the joint transfers motion through the steering rod while allowing suspension travel up and down. A protective boot helps keep grease in and dirt/water out, extending service life.

What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken ❗

A damaged joint can create steering play, clunking noises, and uneven tire wear. In severe cases the joint may separate, causing sudden loss of steering control—an immediate safety risk. Replace at the first sign of looseness and always perform a wheel alignment after installation.
