Front Shock Absorber Assembly (RH/LH) for Toyota
This front suspension damper is needed to control wheel bounce and keep the tire firmly planted on the road. It supports stable braking, smoother steering, and safer load handling—especially on work trucks that see rough roads and heavy payloads.
How it works
Inside the unit, oil is forced through calibrated valves as the suspension moves up and down. This hydraulic resistance converts vibration into heat, reducing spring oscillation. The result is less body roll, fewer shocks through the cabin, and better contact between tire and asphalt.
What happens if it’s worn or broken ⚠️
A failing damper causes excessive bouncing, longer stopping distance, uneven tire wear (cupping), nose-diving under braking, and wandering steering at speed. In severe cases it can stress bushings, ball joints, and mounts, leading to expensive front-end repairs.
Technician notes ✅
Replace in pairs when possible, inspect top mounts and boots, and perform wheel alignment after installation for best handling and tire life.
