Rear Coil Spring Insulator – Quiet Ride & Correct Suspension Height
This rear suspension insulator sits between the coil spring and its seat to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It is needed to reduce noise, absorb small impacts, and keep the spring correctly centered under load. A good insulator also helps protect the spring perch from wear and slows down corrosion caused by rubbing and trapped dirt.
How It Works
Made from tough rubber-like material, it acts as a cushion and locator. As the suspension compresses and rebounds, the insulator flexes slightly, stopping vibration from traveling into the body. It also keeps the coil aligned so the spring loads evenly, improving stability and extending the life of shocks and bushings.
What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken ⚠️
